Happy Birthday, Miss Hahn!

Rarely do we have the chance to celebrate a birthday of someone so young yet a fully qualified teacher in our team. Another reason to cherish the occasion: Miss Sabine Hahn, born in Montabaur yet since her primary school years at home in the USA, came to spend one year in her native land but will return to Ohio in a couple of weeks to continue her professional career as a teacher. We miss her already and the near 150 learners gave her a warm welcome during the surprise party in the interval last Friday. After a short speech by her principal Mr Meffert Miss Hahn received flowers and gifts both from the staff and the children and – of course – a joyful yet improvable "Happy Birthday". And on this special occasion we honour Miss Hahn with the language that she shares with Mrs Hillesheim and has enriched out staff-room atmosphere tremendously since her arrival last August…
